BRYANT POND — Sunday services at the Baptist Church are Sunday School at 9:15 a.m., Morning Worship at 10:30 a.m. and Evening Service at 6 p.m. Prayer meeting is at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
On Saturday, February 16, a delicious Valentine's dinner was served to the adults in the Fellowship Hall. The Sunday School children served the meal which was cooked by Paula Jones.
The hall was decorated with lights and candles and valentine decorations by Marybeth Hoover. It was all very fancy. Pastor Jones read and talked about verses in the Bible about love. It was a very nice evening and enjoyed by all attending. Many thanks to all of the people who put much time in doing it.
On Sunday, the church celebrated Heritage Sunday. Several dressed in old-time clothes and the pastor gave a history of our heritage to each one.
Franklin Grange 124 will meet on Saturday, March 2, at the Grange Hall for a regular meeting at 10 a.m. followed by a potluck lunch. Please bring a dish to share.
The Woodstock-Greenwood Senior Citizens will meet on Thursday, March 7, at Ledgeview Living Center in West Paris for a meeting and dinner put on by Ledgeview. The program will be Leslie Baumgartel showing stretching exercise. New members are always welcome.
The Woodstock Historical Society will meet on Saturday, March 9, at the Town Conference Room at 6 p.m. Larry Bonney will have the program, talking on the early settlements in Woodstock. Light refreshments will follow. New members are always welcome.
Judith Grover Tent 17, Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, will meet on Monday, March 11, at the home of Alice Hoyt at 7 p.m.
