West Sumner

WEST SUMNER — Greetings from West Sumner. I have had a virus of two weeks that has slowed me down to a standstill. I haven't been able to sew at all. I still don't have much life. Hopefully, I will get my strength back soon.

I wanted to get this in this week to mention the Litchfield family. I felt so bad to hear about Larry passing. Then I heard that Lorraine had passed also. I know your pain and I am so sorry. My thoughts and prayers are with you. We all will miss Larry riding around in Walmart.

I have been feeding a few chickadees all winter. They are hungry little birds. Now I have two gray squirrels that come daily. I have enjoyed these birds so much and they have kept me entertained for hours. Now I have a big blue jay sitting on my deck. I have only fed them bread.

I hope to have more pleasant news in the near future. I did hear this morning that the sap is running. I guess that means that spring will soon be here.
