Bryant Pond

BRYANT POND — Sunday services at the Baptist Church are Sunday School at 9:15 a.m., Morning Worship at 10:30 a.m. and Evening Service at 6 p.m. Prayer meeting is at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The Woodstock Historical Society meeting was canceled for February, because of the weather. The next meeting will be March 9, at the Town Conference Room. Larry Bonney will be doing the program on some of Woodstock's early settlements.

Judith Grover Tent 17, Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, met at the home of Alice Hoyt on Tuesday, February 12. The Charter was draped in memory of a Real Son of a Union Veteran, Edward Roode. The chowder supper was discussed and there was talk about Memorial Day.

The flag at the Honor Roll was taken down as the rope broke. General Orders 2 was received and also the new roster. There were 13 calls reported. Elena Noyes received the mystery package. Valentines were written for the Veterans' Home in South Paris. The next meeting is March 11.

Don't forget the chowder supper to be held at the Woodstock Elementary School on Thursday, February 21, from 3 to 7 p.m. This is a public supper to benefit the Honor Roll extension and is being put on by the grange with help from the Daughters of Union Veterans.

Come help support this good cause. The cost will be $8 and the supper includes soup, chowder, chop suey, chili, cole slaw, dessert and drinks.
