BRYANT POND — Sunday services at the Baptist Church are Sunday School at 9:15 a.m., Morning Worship at 10:30 a.m. and Evening Service at 6 p.m. Prayer meeting is at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Saturday, February 16, there will be a valentine dinner for adults at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. On Sunday, February 17, the church will celebrate Heritage Day. Some are dressing as they did years ago. A potluck lunch will follow the morning service and afternoon service. Everyone is welcome.

Franklin Grange 124 met at the home of Alice Hoyt on Saturday, February 2. Two new members were voted on. Plans for the chowder supper to be held on February 21 were finalized.

This is a community service benefit for the Honor Roll extension to included all veterans' names from Woodstock. Starting in March, meetings will be held at the Grange Hall, weather permitting, and the March meetings will be the first and third Saturdays at 10 a.m. with a potluck dinner. It was voted to hold the July meeting and dinner for the Woodstock-Greenwood Senior Citizens.

On Thursday, February 21, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Woodstock Elementary School on Rumford Avenue, there will be a chowder supper to benefit the Monument Fund to enlarge the Honor Roll by the library. The cost is $8. Come help support this event.

More money is needed to get all the names engraved. This is being sponsored by the Grange with help from the Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War. There will be different kinds of chowders and soups, chop suey and chili, cole slaw, rolls, crackers, drinks and dessert.

The program at Whitman Memorial Library is at 2 p.m. today, February 14. Charlotte Winchester will be doing a holiday craft. Supplies will be provided. This is open to the public at no charge and light refreshments will be served.

The exercise class at the library on Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m. is still going on. This is led by Nancy Willard. There are new people every week. Come join us, it's fun and there is no charge.
