Northeast Bank lends hand to Oxford food pantry

HELPING HANDS — Karen Danforth and Chris Delamater, on right, of Northeast Bank present a $500 donation to the Oxford Helping Hands Food Pantry to Suzanne Grover and Karen Miller, pantry volunteers. Northeast Bank, a strong supporter of the food pantry initiative, has also donated a new freezer to the organization. Delamater, Danforth and two other bank employees volunteered their time at the food pantry during a distribution afternoon on May 24. The food pantry, which serves around 50 people every week,  has been open around a year and is in the process of becoming a certified non-profit.
