WINDY —10 mph winds caused a tree to fall on utility wires which caught the ground on fire and burned about three-quarters of an acre in the woods near the intersection of Cook Road and Bolsters Mills Road in Otisfield on Sunday around 5 p.m., said Otisfield Fire Chief Mike Hooker. Firefighters from Casco, Harrison, Norway, and Oxford responded to the scene. According to Hooker, it took about a half-hour to get the flames under control, and another hour or so to overhaul the area, to make sure the fire was completely extinguished.
