PINNED — Two teens, whose names were not released, were injured when a Ford Focus, driven by a 16-year-old female, crashed into some trees while it was heading northeast on Yeaton Swamp Road in Oxford on April 19. According to police, a 15-year-old passenger was ejected through the back window of the vehicle, after it rolled onto its side, and got pinned underneath it, while the driver was trapped inside the car. According to Oxford Police Sgt. Rickie Jack, the girls were taken to Stephens Memorial Hospital for injuries that did not appear life-threatening. Jack said the crash is still under investigation, but that speed appears to be the cause.
