Maine Coalition for Excellence in Education seeks Executive Director

STATEWIDE - The Maine Coalition for Excellence in Education (MCEE) is currently conducting a search for an Executive Director. This is a newly created position. They are requesting their members, partners, supporters and funders to consider this opportunity personally, as well as share it with their friends, members and individuals that they would consider to be great candidates for this exciting position. MCEE is a business education partnership committed to a high quality public education system that prepares all students with the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful in college, career and responsible citizens in this global economy and society.

The Executive Director is a full time position and will be responsible for the fulfillment of the MCEE agenda and the PREPARE MAINE initiative. We are looking for an exceptional, talented and well-rounded person with a passion for education and the state of Maine.

The successful candidate will demonstrate that s/he has the capacity to perform the following functions: strategic leadership, management, fundraising, organizational and program development and stakeholder coordination and collaboration.

Desired qualifications include a minimum five years experience in management level position, proven ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives on time and on budget,  financial management skills and experience and policy advocacy acumen and experience.
