Addiction conference to be held in South Paris

SOUTH PARIS - A "Basics of Alcoholism and Drug Addiction" conference will be held Friday, December 3, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, 17 East Main St. in South Paris. This is for anyone wanting to know more about Alcohol and Drug Addictions. The $12 per person fee includes snacks and lunch; scholarships are available.

Dr. Mark Publicker, Addiction Medicine at Mercy Recovery Center in Westbrook, will speak on the "Disease Concept of Alcoholism and Drug Addiction - The Doctor's Opinion." There will also be other presenters throughout the day.
