Conway joins news team

NORWAY — Devin Conway has joined the staff at the Advertiser Democrat as its newest reporter.

A 2009 graduate of Dickinson College in Pennsylvania, Conway has spent time in both the United Kingdom and Korea, the former at the University of East Anglia and the latter as a teacher of English as a Foreign Language.

"Devin brings a varied and interesting background to the position," said A.M. Sheehan, editor, "and we are looking forward to his contributions to the newspaper and community at large."

"He is personable, energetic and will fit in nicely," she continued, "and the fact he is native to the area is a huge plus."

Conway, who resides in Poland, graduated from Poland High School. He was both a Maine forum, and policy debate champion in 2004 and 2005, respectively.

Conway played basketball and soccer both in college and in the UK. He has been a volunteer softball and baseball coach and umpire for the Poland Rec Department.
