OXFORD HILLS — Coach Scott Graffam has been coaching basketball at Oxford Hills for 22 years. This season Graffam is going for his 300th career win.

The players on the team are great, some have even coached me at summer camp. My name is Matthew Fleming and I am a sixth grader at the Rowe School.

This year's squad includes Kenny Lynch, Ryan Godin, Jordan Croteau, John Frechette, Jake Plummer, Dakota Durgin, Matty Beauchesne, Luke Davidson, Ben Morton, Dalton Rice, Adam Kenney, Caleb Fillebrown, Riley Chickering, and Andrew Fleming.

I interviewed three players, here is what they had to say:

Q: How long have you been playing basketball?

Kenny Lynch: My whole life.

Luke Davidson: Since Kindergarten.

Matty Beauchesne: Umm, all through elementary school, but I took fifth grade off. So like eight or nine years.

Q: If you win the State Championship this year, what will you do next?

Kenny: Oh geez, probably celebrate and then never play basketball again.

Luke: Next? Go crazy and party or something.

Matty: Hmmm, that ís a tough one. I'd celebrate and then hit the batting cage."

The first home game of the Vikingís season is Friday, December 7. They will be playing Lewiston at 7 p.m. I encourage everyone to go see these bright stars.
