Harrison ski, snowboard signups set

HARRISON — It's time to sign up for the Harrison Ski and Snowboard program. All sign-ups are at the Harrison Community Room on Edes Falls Rd. (above the fire station). From beginners to advanced, there is a happy place at Shawnee Peak just for you.

Come find out what the program is all about, what is has to offer this year and meet your coordinators. This is your time to sign-up for skiing or snowboarding; pick-up paperwork and to set up your “own” three time/sign-up payment plan. Volunteer paperwork will be available; they are accepting limited applications.

There will be program shirts and pants available for sizing and ordering. (Possible community service available.)

Have you ever wanted to learn how to ski or snowboard from a “real” Ski/Board instructor from the Mountain? Would you like to just ski or snowboard with your friends, just for fun? (TBD) Then this seven-week program starting the first Friday in January at Shawnee Peak is just for you.

The first sign-up is Friday, October 19 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.; the second sign-up is Friday, November 16 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and the final sign-up and equipment fittings will be held Friday, November 30 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Harrison residents in K through eighth grade as well as Harrison residents in ninth through 12th grade can join the program. (If you do not fall in those categories, call for more information.)

Harrison students who attend WES: HES parents will still drop off equipment at HES. The program students will ride the WES Ski Bus from WES to Shawnee Peak to join their Harrison Program.

Harrison students who attend HES: Same as last year; HES parents will drop off equipment at HES and program students will take the Harrison Ski Bus from HES at 2:55 to Shawnee Peak and join the rest of the HES students arriving on the WES Ski Bus. (Same program as last year, just a later start, on a different day.)

Waterford students who attend HES: Waterford students can take the HES Ski Bus to Shawnee Peak to join their Waterford program. (See your Waterford Ski Program Coordinator for Waterford program details.)
