Norway Trackers Snowmobile Club starts monthly meetings

NORWAY — The Norway Trackers snowmobile club starts its regular monthly meetings beginning Tuesday, September 4, in the Norway Town Hall.

Potluck supper is from 6:30–7 p.m., followed by the business meeting at 7 p.m. The club meets the first Tuesday of every month.

All snowmobile owners and enthusiasts are encouraged to join and help support the club and its mission to promote a safe and enjoyable wintertime sport in the Norway area.

Membership in the club also includes membership in the Maine Snowmobile Association (MSA) and a subscription to the monthly Maine Snowmobiler newspaper.

Club dues primarily support trail grooming and maintenance, and as all snowmobilers know, having well-groomed and maintained trails is important to enjoy a great and safe ride.

Norway Trackers maintain over 50 miles of trails in the area. The club also sponsors the annual Snow Fest on Norway Lake, with snowmobile races and an antique snowmobile parade.

At its last scheduled meeting of the winter 2012 season in April, the following officers were elected: Diane Gammon, President; Robbie Mowatt, Vice-President; Dawn Waisanen, Treasurer; Stan Morse, Trailmaster; Jaime Mowatt, Membership and Mark McGovern, Secretary.

Further information on the club is available at www.norwaytrackers.com. The club website has the latest news plus information on trail conditions. Members may also pay dues on-line at the website.
