Norway Triathlon registration up

NORWAY — Mark White, race director for the Norway Triathlon, confirms that registration for the 2013 Triathlon is up and running on active.com. Anyone interested in registering as a team or individual should get their registration in as soon as possible.

You may register online, or download and mail in registration form from www.norwaytri.com, or contact the trust at 739-2124 for a hard copy. Entry fees are the same as in 2012: $75 for individuals and $105 for a three-person relay team.

The 2013 Norway Triathlon will be run on Saturday, July 13, the morning of the Norway Arts Festival. Triathletes and their support teams are encouraged to stay in town for the balance of the day to fully enjoy Norway and the annual Festival.

The Norway Tri is a USAT-sanctioned sprint triathlon which includes three legs completed either by individuals or by a team of three: a 1k lake swim, 18k bike ride and a 5k run to the finish line.

Sanctioned events are expensive to run, and sponsorships are needed to make the event a successful fundraiser. Any business interested in great advertising and sponsorship should contact Lee Dassler at wflt@megalink.net.
