A Word A Day

Monday

Relax: make or become less tense; rest so as to become less tired or anxious (It does us all good to relax once and a while.)

Tuesday

Absolve: declare (someone or something) free from blame, guilt or responsibility (It took many years to absolve the robber of his many crimes.)

Wednesday

Indicate: point out, show; be a sign or symptom of (Please indicate where the ice is the thinnest. That flag indicates where it is dangerous to walk.)

Thursday

Advocate: a person who publicly supports or recommends a particular cause or policy (Dr. King was a fierce advocate for racial equality.)

Friday

Distraught: deeply upset and agitated (After my family's dog passed away, I was distraught with grief.)
