Agnes Gray School

In the fall several third and fourth grade students wrote poems in the library. Those poems were submitted to the "Anthology of Poetry by Young Americans."

During the vacation in December, several students received a letter stating their poem had been chosen to be published. These students include Tanner Howard, Randie Scott, Breighdyn Mason, Allison Dunn, Brettan Adams, Makaila Brown, William Bru, Piper Fox and Mackenzie Denbow. In the future, the winning poems will be published.

Fundraiser

The teachers and PTO of Agnes Gray School are pleased to announce a planned bowl-a-thon fundraiser at Hobbs Lucky Lanes in South Paris in February. The goal of the fundraiser is to have fun and help raise money for planned spring field trips.

Please remember that all these field trips will be supported with money from the PTO. Please help enrich your child's education by supporting the PTO with this great fundraiser.

Field trips

• Kindergarten and First Grade, Gray Animal Farm

• Second Grade, Maine 4-H Camp and Learning Center

• Third Grade, Western Maine Mineral Adventures

• Fourth Grade, Maine historical site

• All children go to Range Pond State Park for the end-of-the-year celebration.

To reach the fundraising goal, the school is hoping each child can raise $20. No child will be excluded. The PTO is covering all transportation and bowling fees upfront. There will be a pizza party for the top 10 fundraisers.

Help by getting your child's pledge sheet started now and volunteer to chaperone the day of the activity.

Buses will depart at 9:15 a.m. and return at 11:15-11:30 a.m.
