OHCHS grads receive Bizier Scholarship

OXFORD HILLS — Bob and Barbara Bizier recently presented scholarships to two OHCHS graduates who are now attending pre-pharmacy programs. They felt that the Gina Bizier Memorial Pharmacy Scholarship was a fitting tribute to their beloved daughter whom they recently lost.

Gina, a graduate of OHCHS, became a pharmacist and loved her chosen profession. She was passionate about encouraging young adults to consider pursuing a pharmacy career.

The eligibility requirements for this scholarship are that the student must be a graduate of OHCHS, be majoring in pre-pharmacy or attending a college of pharmacy and be in good academic standing.

Mariah Colby of Oxford and Ashley West of South Paris are the second students to benefit from this scholarship. Ashley, a 2012 OHCHS graduate, is enrolled in the pre-pharmacy program at Husson University and Mariah, a 2010 OHCHS graduate, is enrolled in the pre-pharmacy program at UNE.

Scholarships will be awarded each year and applications are available through the Superintendent’s office.
