Waterford winners

WINNERS — Three students from Waterford Memorial School received $100 Aspire Higher scholarships as a result of participating this past fall in activities to encourage postgraduate aspirations during Aspire Higher Month.  Pictured here front row, from left, Silas Bruns, kindergarten student; Hannah Chapman, kindergarten student and Kaya Joseph, first-grade student. Back row, Barry Patrie, Waterford representative on SAD #17 School Board; Kathy Laplante, scholarship donor and Pam Colby, representing the Cents for Kids scholarship. The scholarship money is held in the Kiwanis Charitable Foundation until these students graduate from high school and enroll in a post-secondary institution.
