Vets at school

A "Veterans in the Classroom" program was presented to the second graders at Guy E. Rowe on November 9 by veteran and Americanism Officer Randy Henley and Barbara Henley, American Chairperson from the Stone-Smart American Legion Post #82 and Auxiliary of Norway. Randy Henley, pictured above with student Alexis Weltner, is showing a photo of his father Basil R. Henley who served in the navy in 1945. The Veteran's Day presentation includes the meaning of Veterans Day, ways to honor our veterans, with a video titled "America's Veterans" shown. Each student was given a coloring page and patriotic pencil.
