On Tuesday everyone in our School District will be participating in the Aspire Higher March to promote the importance of education as a way to build a strong future for our children and our community.
We will march as a school from the middle school to the high school. We are encouraging all participants to try to wear something that is hunter orange in color because an aerial photographer will be taking pictures that day.
Parents and community members are invited to join us in the march. We will not have room on buses for volunteers or extra parents and there is no parking available at the middle school so you will need to find a way to meet us there.
If you plan to walk with us, please be at the middle school by 9:45 a.m.
Our fourth graders are going to the Portland Symphony on Monday. Teachers
are encouraging children to dress appropriately to attend a symphony. Don’t forget to bring a bag lunch with you! Children will return to school by 1:30 p.m.
Sixth grade parents, an important letter about the Bryant Pond field trip was sent home with students on Wednesday. It has lots of last minute details and reminders. If your child did not give it to you, please ask for it or download it from our website: http://www.sad17.k12.me.us/schools/paris; www.sad17.k12.me.us/schools/paris.
Our fifth graders are sponsoring a lasagna dinner on Friday, October 26 at the Paris Fire Hall from 5:30 - 7:00 PM. We know the food is going to be very good because Corey Sumner from Maurice’s Restaurant is doing the cooking. Why not eat out that night and help our fifth graders earn the money to go to Sturbridge Village.
