interpret: to explain or tell the meaning of; present in understandable terms (It took me a while to interpret what he was saying to me.)

Tuesday

abolish: formally put an end to (President Lincoln abolished slavery in America.

Wednesday

scurry: to move about or proceed hurriedly (We watched the mouse scurry away.)

Thursday

independent: not being under the rule or control of another (We live in an independent nation.)

Friday

horizon: the line at which the earth and the sky seem to meet (The ship sailed off into the horizon, on its final voyage.)
