Assumption

WORCESTER, MA — Zebb Duffany of Otisfield was named to the Dean's List for the spring 2012 semester at Assumption College. To make the Dean's List, Assumption students must achieve a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Duffany is a member of the class of 2015.

Bentley 

WALTHAM, MA — Krista Hakala of Harrison was named to the Dean’s list at Bentley University for her outstanding academic achievement in the spring 2012 semester. To be named to the Dean's List, a full-time student must have a grade point average of 3.3 or higher with no course grade below 2.0 during the term.

Northeastern

BOSTON, MA — Northeastern University is pleased to recognize those students who distinguish themselves academically during the course of the school year. The following local residents were recently named to the University's dean's list for the spring semester, which ended in May 2012: Raymond T. White of Fryeburg, an Electrical Engineering major; Rachel Surette of Harrison, a Communication Studies major and Adam P. Shorey of Sweden, a Chemical Engineering major.

To achieve the dean's list distinction, students must carry a full program of at least four courses, have a quality point average of 3.5 or greater out of a possible 4.0 and carry no single grade lower than a C- during the course of their college career.

MA Maritime

BUZZARDS BAY, MA — Massachusetts Maritime Academy has recently named local student Cadet Cooper Maxwell of Fryeburg to the President’s List during the Spring 2012 semester. The President’s List is the highest academic achievement that a cadet can earn at the Academy. To be named to the list, a cadet must maintain a grade-point average of over 3.5 during the semester.

UM-Machias

MACHIAS — The following local residents were among more than 300 students from the University of Maine at Machias who were named to the Dean's List for the spring 2012 semester: Brenda Parent of Mechanic Falls, Deven Pendexter of Poland, April Barker of Hebron, Eric Bell of Otisfield and Christine Lee of South Paris.

PORTLAND — University of New England has announced its Spring Undergraduate Dean’s List.
