AMES, IA — Jennifer Elizabeth Smith of Fryeburg has been named to the 2012 spring semester Dean's List at Iowa State university. Students named to the Dean's List must have earned a grade point average of at least 3.50 on a 4.00 scale while carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours of graded course work. Smith is studying Veterinary Medicine.

Saint Joseph’s

STANDISH — The following local residents were named to the Dean's list at Saint Joseph's College of Maine for the spring semester: Gordon Smith and Steven Wiley of Casco, Jennifer Googoo of Harrison and Susan Attianese, Dorothy Leckie and Molly Shaw of Naples. To be eligible for Dean's list, a student must attain an average of 3.5 or better.

St. Michael’s

COLCHESTER, VT — The following local residents were named to the Spring 2012 Dean's List at Saint Michael's College: Morgan Brown of Casco and Andrew Churchill of Harrison.

Brown, son of Amy and Lawrence Brown of Casco, is a first – year Media Studies and Digital Arts major, who graduated from Lake Region High School.

Churchill, son of Donna and Timothy Churchill of Harrison, is a Sophomore Spanish major, who graduated from Hebron Academy.

Students who complete a minimum of 12 credits and achieve a grade point average of at least 3.4 at the end of a semester are recognized for their scholarship by inclusion on the Dean's List.

STORRS, CT — Sarah Allison Hale of Naples was named to the Dean’s List at the University of Connecticut for the Spring 2012 semester. To make the Dean’s List, students must be taking at least 12 credits, finish the semester with a grade point average that is among the top 25 percent of students enrolled in their school or college, and have no grade below a “C.”
