Egg Hunt

The Friends of the West Paris Library will sponsor an Easter Egg hunt for West Paris toddlers through first grade at the library on Saturday, March 30, at 9 a.m. A basket will be provided for each child for collecting eggs. The children should be accompanied by an adult. There will be a gift for each child, in addition to the Easter eggs found during the hunt. The lucky number of one marked egg will receive a special prize. The activities will conclude with a story and a craft. For more information, call the library at 674-2004.

Letter  to the President

Dear President Obama,

My name is Oluwasheyi Ajayi. I am a ten year old boy from West Paris, Maine. I would like to come to the White House to ask you some questions. I deserve this because I love studying a lot about the presidents and black history; I attend the Agnes Gray School and I get very good grades!

I am in fourth grade. I am a very good student and all of my teachers love me. Math and reading are my favorite subjects in school. I would like if I could bring my family to the White House.

It would be a dream come true to meet you. I think I am a lot like you because I am smart and I am biracial. My father is from Nigeria and my mother is from America. Just like your father is Kenyan and your mother is American. When I grow up I want to be a democrat just like you.

Kindergarten

It's time to be thinking about kindergarten registration here at the Agnes Gray School on Tuesday, May 21. If you know of any student who will be five years old by October 15,  and is planning on starting kindergarten in the fall, would you please call us at 674-2332.
