OXFORD — On January 31, students were excited to meet local author Patricia Gott. She read them her book "Horse Tails by Horses in Harness," illustrated by Jewel Clark. Pat answered questions about the different types of horses "on the farm" in this story.

Boxberry students were very interested in learning about the different types of horses and they followed along by matching the horse type to the description given of the horse from a passage in the book. Some students bought books and had them signed.

It is not only very exciting, but very relevant to have a local author visit a school and inspire kids to become better writers, also showing them that they too can become writers if they choose.
