Aspire Higher has a new logo

OXFORD HILLS — Members of the Oxford Hills Aspire Higher Committee asked the students in Virginia Valdes’ Graphic Design Class at OHCHS to design a new logo for the Aspire Higher Initiative.

The students heard a presentation about the mission and programs sponsored by Aspire Higher and then were asked to let their creative skills guide them to a new logo replacing the balloon used since 2000. Kim Davis, Marketing Coordinator of Oxford Federal Credit Union, offered a $50 Visa Gift Card to the winner.

Carly Sauro, a very talented and creative OHCHS junior, came up with the winning design. When asked about her thought process from program presentation to final design, Carly said “I thought about how all students should be reaching for the stars throughout their high school career. We should always be asking ourselves what we want to accomplish in our futures and set it up one year at a time.”
