INVERNESS, FL — Sonder Jean Place, 80, died Sunday, December 30, 2012, at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, FL. Mrs. Place was born October 2, 1932, in South Portland, to the late Axel and Sarah Brown. She was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed golf and was a member of Rainbow's End Golf Club in Dunnellon, FL.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 61 years, Robert; her daughter, Vivian (Paul) Ward of Citrus Springs, FL; her son, Alan Place of Citrus Springs, FL; her son, Steven Place of Oxford; six sisters in South Portland; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
