NORWAY — Dorothy Joyce (Guilford) Austin of Norway died peacefully on January 15, 2013 at Market Square Health Care Center in South Paris with her devoted husband, Don, by her side. She was born on July 23, 1928 in Norway, daughter of Adelbert Guilford, Sr. and Ruth (Smith) Guilford. She graduated from Norway High School in 1946 and she and Donald Austin were married in 1949.

Mrs. Austin is survived by her husband of 64 years, Don; her daughter, Anita Kennison and husband David; granddaughter, Michelle Kennison; grandson, David Kennison, Jr. and wife Dara; great-grandchildren, Jamie, Joshua, Nicholas and Caleb Kennison; her brothers, Richard Guilford of South Paris and Gene Guildford, Sr. of Sarasota, FL and her sisters, Patricia Krapovicky of Oxford and Judy Arsenault of Norway. She was predeceased by her parents, Ruth and Del Guilford and her brothers, Adelbert (Delly) Jr; Donald, Sr; Cecil (Chuck) and Howarth (Howie).

There will be no services at this time; graveside services will be held in the spring at the family’s discretion. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Austin's memory may be given to the Alzheimers Association, 383 U.S. Rte. 1, Suite 2C, Scarborough, ME 04074 or Market Square Health Care Center Activity Fund, 3 Market Sq., South Paris, ME 04281.
