BRIDGTON — Clinton Harmon, 80, of Bridgton passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Bridgton Hospital. He was born in Bridgton on September 28, 1932, the son of Clifford and Orilla Harmon. He attended Bridgton schools and served in the United States Army in Korea during the Korean War. He married Beverly Brown on February 26, 1956.

He worked for many years as a mechanic for Haggett and Osgood in Bridgton, Kearsarge Metallurgical Corporation in Conway, NH and worked for his son Mike’s property maintenance business.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting coins, working in his gardens, playing cribbage and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mr. Harmon is survived by his wife, Beverly Brown Harmon; five children, son Mike Harmon and wife Debra, son Mark Harmon and wife Julie, daughter Terri Pike and husband Mark, son Scott Harmon and wife Jan and son John Harmon and wife JoAnn; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Alphonso Harmon and Charles Harmon and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; an infant son, Clinton Harmon, Jr.; two brothers, Frank Harmon and Clifford (Junior) Harmon; and a sister, Grace Cates.

A celebration of his life is planned for May. Donations in his memory can be made to Harvest Hills Animal Shelter, 1389 Bridgton Rd., Fryeburg, ME 04037.
