ST. CHARLES, MO — Sharon (Haverinen) Gibson of St. Charles, MO, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2012, at the age of 65 after a valiant fight against colon cancer. She was the devoted wife of Roger Gibson and the beloved daughter of Janice and Jack Rosenberg and the late Veikko Haverinen. She enjoyed political discussions with her daughter, Georgia, and son-in-law, Jon Pruiksma, and cherished playtime with her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Anne-Marie and Jameson.

Some of her favorite times were spent in Maine with her brother, Daniel (Julia) Haverinen and sister, Mary (Douglas) Wall. She shared her love of art, sports and the outdoors with nephews Sam Haverinen, Jesse and Cody Wall. She attended school in Maine and kept in contact with classmates over the years. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh, keen sense of humor, and for bringing joy to everyone she met. She loved her kitties Koko, Tessie, and Pearl and enjoyed driving her rag top Mustang. Most of all, she loved her family.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday, December 6, from 6–8 p.m. at The Baue Funeral and Memorial Center, 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles, MO. Memorials may be made to Siteman Cancer Center in St. Peters, MO. A Memorial Service will be held in her beloved Maine at a later date.
