Beryl Joan Miller
AUBURN — Beryl Joan Miller, widow of Clark F. Miller, M.D., died on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at the Hospice House in Auburn. She was born in Hackbridge, Surrey, England on the 20th of September in 1918, the daughter of Frank and Doris Kemp.
She and Dr. Miller were married at St. Saviour’s Church, Hampstead, London, on August 27, 1942. She was in the British Civil Service prior to her marriage and subsequently with the American Red Cross until coming to this country on March 28, 1944. She was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church and a life member of the Women’s Hospital Association.
Mrs. Miller is survived by daughters, Anita Miller White and Elisabeth Miller Blackwood; grandchildren, Caroline Peinado, Tobin White, Christopher White, Jeremy Blackwood, Rebecca Brown, Clark Blackwood and Sariah Blackwood and great-grandchildren, Wilder and Kayleigh Baldwin, Isabella, Sara and Vivian Peinado, Zachary, Benjamin and Oliver White, Darius Blackwood and Arran White. She was predeceased by a younger sister, Iris Jean Kemp, who died in 1932; a brother, James Francis Kemp, who died in 1999; a son, Alan Clark Miller, who died in 2002 and a sister, Phyllis Goodall, who died in 2009, as well as her husband, who died in 1996.
