Kenneth G. Smith
OXFORD — Kenneth G. Smith, of Webber Brook Road in Oxford, died unexpectedly on July 6, 2012 as a result of an automobile accident.
He was born on June 10, 1960, the son of Gale and Corinne Smith. He graduated from Oxford Hills High School, Class of 1979. He achieved his Class 1 truck driving license and that was his passion. He drove a truck until his disability was such that he was no longer able to drive. He worked for C.N. Brown and other trucking companies and won many awards for his driving skills and won two state championships.
He married April Starbird, and together they had a daughter, Amanda Smith.
He was always smiling and would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need.
Mr. Smith is survived by his parents, of Oxford; daughter, Amanda of South Paris; sister, Kathy Smith Kimball and husband Kevin Kimball of Sumner; brother, Rick Smith and wife Karen of Oxford; sister, Rhonda Smith Desrochers and husband Norman Desrochers of Oxford; loving aunts and uncles and numerous other family members. He was predeceased by his second wife, Lisa Smith, in 2008.
His talkative nature will surely be missed. Rest in peace, beloved son, brother, father and friend, loved by all.
