LIVERMORE FALLS — Ruth E. Smith, 66, a resident of Meadow Brook Apartments in Livermore Falls, died peacefully Monday, February 25, 2013 at her home. She was born October 11, 1946 in Norway, the daughter of Ronald Brooks and Georgena Buck. She was a graduate of Norway High School.

She was a homemaker when her children were younger, and she later worked waitressing at Barjo’s Restaurant in Norway and at TJ’s in Livermore. She enjoyed reading, watching television, plants, flowers and cats. She enjoyed spending time with her friend and neighbor, Sharon, as well as time spent with her family.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her father, Leslie A. Roberts of Norway; her daughters, Diane Heino and her husband Ed of Norway and Rhonda Cushman and her companion, Glenn Rowe of Turner, her sons, Steven Cushman and his wife Alicia of South Paris; and James Cushman of Oxford; her sisters, Carolee Masselli and her husband John of Florida, Linda Hoyt of South Paris, Marilyn Foster and her husband Bob of New Castle and Brenda Shelton and her husband David of Oxford; her brother, Bruce Roberts of Oxford; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her former husband, Thomas Cushman in 2009; her husband Forrest Smith in 2002 and her mother, Georgena Roberts in 2011.
