Wright joins board for first meeting

BUCKFIELD — Recently-elected selectman Warren Wright joined the board for its meeting February 5, bringing the board up to its full three members for the first time since November.

Wright, a former selectman and chairman of the budget committee, told fellow board members he wasn't interested in staying on the board past the end of his term in June 2014 and hoped other qualified candidates would emerge.

Although Wright has resigned from his position on the budget committee, he told fellow board members that he would continue to attend budget committee meetings.

Board Chairperson Robin Buswell thanked Wright for stepping up and offering his time to the community.

Wright was elected last month to fill former Selectman Rodney Allen's seat, after Allen passed away suddenly in November.
