CAUSED BY CREOSOTE —   A two-story farmhouse at 1009 Minot Hill Road in Minot that went up in flames around 8 p.m. last Thursday was the result of a chimney fire that spread to the rest of the home, said Minot Fire Chief Dean Campbell. According to reports, firefighters from Auburn, Hebron, Mechanic Falls and Buckfield helped battle the blaze that started in the upper level of the home and caused thick smoke to pour from the eaves that could been seen from a mile away. According to Campbell, the family that was living in the home was able to escape the fire safely.
