Chimney fire at Norway boarding house

CHIMNEY FIRE —   A fire burns inside a chimney at the 1834 brick structure at 94 Main Street on January 26 around 7 p.m. as a result of creosote build-up, said Norway Fire Chief Dennis Yates. According to Yates, the fire, which was put out quickly, did not spread to any other parts of the building and did not cause any smoke damage. Yates urges everyone to clean their chimneys regularly, as chimney fires can lead to more serious structure fires.
