Should the assault weapons ban be reinstated?

Photo:

Absolutely not. There’s no reason for that. There should more guns if anything else. The Second Amendment is one of our most important rights as citizens to protect ourselves and our families from government.

No, I don’t think the ban should be reinstated. There’s hunters – my dad’s an avid hunter. I think there should be more of a security check on where they sell them.

If the military can have them, why can’t we? The Second Amendment guarantees this right. It guarantees the power to defend ourselves from threats, both foreign and domestic.

I used to hunt, but I don’t anymore. I don’t see any reason to have more than a 30-round clip. Hunting deer, if you need more than two or three shots, you’ve got a problem.

I don’t think we need assault weapons at all. There’s no reason for them really.

I don’t think they should be banned at all because we have a right to own guns. It’s the people, not the guns, who are the problem.

I don’t really pay much attention, but yes. They’re [assault weapons] better off for people who are properly trained. If they’re accessible to everyone, it’s much more dangerous.

I don’t think so. You see these quotes on facebook and stuff: “Cars don’t kill people, drunk drivers kill people.” I agree with that. The gun doesn’t kill, the person does.

I don’t feel like I know enough to definitively answer one way or another. Something needs to happen because there are bigger issues at stake – mental health, for one. I don’t know if it’s just a question of assault weapons.

That’s a tough question. I feel people have the right to have guns if they want them, but I personally don’t. I don’t know. There are these sick people who want to do sick stuff.
