Board extends Colpitts' contract to 2016

OXFORD HILLS — Oxford Hills School District Board of Directors unanimously approved a one-year extension of Superintendent Rick Colpitt's contract during its meeting Monday.

Colpitt's contract was extended to June 30, 2016.

The public vote was taken following a 25 minute executive session for Colpitts' performance evaluation.

On Tuesday, Colpitts said board members did a thorough job evaluating him and providing him with feedback.

"I'd say that I have some goals to work on," Colpitts said. "I am grateful to work for a board that is as committed to education as they are."

The board will decide on compensation for Colpitts in June. Under his current contract, the superintendent earns $107,161 annually.
