Fire destroys Waterford home

DESTROYED — Firefighters from three towns battled a fire that destroyed a 25-year-old single-story home at 316 Hunts Corner Road in Waterford December 12, according to reports. Apparently the homeowner, whose name has not been identified, reports say, was not home when the fire started. However, according to reports, the homeowner had returned that evening to his home filled with smoke, and by the time firefighters arrived shortly after 5 p.m., the home was already engulfed by flames. Sergeant Joel Davis from the State Fire Marshal's Office confirmed Tuesday that the cause of the fire was accidental and electrical in nature.
