LOST – Firefighters from more than half a dozen towns responded to a mobile home fire at 1058 Gore Road in Norway Tuesday shortly before 3 p.m., that killed a pet boxer inside the home, according to reports. Norway Fire Chief Dennis Yates reported that firefighters couldn't reach the dog, named "Lexie," in time to save her. Reportedly, PACE ambulance personnel tried giving the dog oxygen, but were unable to revive it. Yates said the fire appeared to have started around a woodstove. Homeowners Allison Henderson and Tom Farrington were not home when the fire started. Yates reported that the home is uninhabitable and Red Cross has been called to help the couple.
