Do you think the economy is turning around?

Photo:

No. I can't find work. I'm being evicted from my house. I went to school for forestry; this is Maine, you'd think there'd be work, but there is none.

No, because of the worldwide industrial banking complex. It's never going to get better for poor people if the industrial banking complex stays where it is. It isn't Obama's fault.

No. I've been unemployed since February 3. I went to a temp. service; I have the experience they wanted, still couldn't find anything. It's not turning around, it's getting worse. The unemployment numbers are looking better because people's benefits are running out, not because there are fewer unemployed.

No, not really and I don't think it's going to. They're just doing more layoffs now, at Osh Kosh. Most likely those contracts will be going to China or somewhere else.

I don't think so; I'm getting poorer, not richer.

Not really, it's probably the same as it was three years ago. The prices are going up for food and fuel. It affects the pocketbook, or in my case, wallet.

No, I can't even find a job – senior citizens can't find anything. I tried for three years and they wouldn't even talk to me.

It doesn't seem like it. Prices aren't going down for anything. The price of gas just keeps on going up and when it falls it's only by 10 cents or so. I don't think jobs have gotten any better than what they were.

Yeah, slowly but surely. It seems like the majority of the news agencies are reporting slow growth in all areas of the economy.

Slowly; I just got a job. I don't think it's getting any worse, the company I work for, they're always hiring.
