Casino expansion to open in October

OXFORD —   The Maine Gambling Control Board voted unanimously Tuesday to approve the surveillance plan for the expansion of the Oxford Casino, according to GCB Office Manager Janine Collins.

The expansion, which opens in October, will add hundreds more slot machines and 10 more table games, says Casino spokesperson Scott Smith.

Smith says that it will also create 50 new jobs in addition to the 400 full time equivalent workers it already employs.
