The state has legalized fireworks effective Jan, 2012. Should your town restrict the use of fireworks?

Jay Partridge Photo:

It's probably up to the individual towns to decide and whether or not they will pass the law. If they think it's safe, then I don't see why not.

I think they should be available. As long as people follow the rules and be safe with it.

It should be left up to the professionals for the holidays. It's dangerous. I think to use fireworks, there should be special training.

No, because I don't want little kids to use them.

[Right now] they are illegal in Maine. I don't think we need them here.

Too many people get hurt. They should be regulated.

I don't think they should restrict them. They need some supervision, but if they can make regulations, then no.

No, because they use them all the time anyway. Like for birthday parties, weddings, and sometimes on weekends.

I think in rural areas, where it is less dense, there should be no regulations. In areas that are more dense, I think they should at least limit flying fireworks. Ground fireworks are safe by nature.

I don't think they should restrict it. I like seeing the fireworks.
