Local child meets Red Sox catcher

VISITING PATIENTS — Red Sox catcher Jarrod Saltalmacchia visits four-year-old cancer patient Isabelle "Izzy" Newman, of Norway, at the Jimmy Fund clinic at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston in July, where she recently received a stem cell transplant. On January 4, Izzy was diagnosed with stage-4 neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer. Izzy will remain in Boston throughout the month to undergo more treatments.
