National Guard

AUGUSTA — Brig. Gen. James D. Campbell, The Adjutant General for Maine, announces the promotion to the rank specified below for the following: Charles Bowlin, Sgt. 1st Class, of Hartford, Recruiting & Retention Battalion; Eric Bell, Staff Sgt., of Otisfield, 262nd Engineer Company and Abigail Katherine Labbe, Pvt. 2, of Otisfield, Forward Support Company, 133rd Engineer Battalion.

Soldiers were promoted to rank in January 2013.

Airman McKay

SAN ANTONIO, TX — Air Force Airman Carson W. McKay graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, TX.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

McKay is the son of Karen Swan and grandson of Bill Swan, both of Andover. He is a 2012 graduate of Telstar High School, Bethel.

Airman Patrie

SAN ANTONIO, TX — Air Force Airman Danielle A. Patrie graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, TX.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Patrie is the daughter of Andrew Patrie of Hartford and Buffy Ward of Waterford. She is a 2012 graduate of Buckfield Junior/Senior High School.
