To the Editor:

 I wish to thank the woman who was the first person to assist me during my car accident on January 3. I had the red Mini Cooper that hit a guardrail and telephone pole on Route 26 in Woodstock.

Your swiftness in responding to see if I was okay, your soothing words and compassionate attempt to keep me from moving were deeply appreciated. I tried to find out your name from the first responders but your identity remains anonymous.

I am very grateful to you for your generous kindness, assistance and time. If you wish to identify yourself, please feel free to contact me in Bryant Pond. It would be nice to thank you in person.
