A sincere thank you

To the Editor:

On November 12, 2012, my husband Brett Sessions fell 18 feet to the ground after a rung on his tree stand broke. Brett broke his left femur and had to be life flighted to CMMC in Lewiston. Brett has been recuperating at home and his recovery has gone well, although he is still healing.

First of all, Brett and I wanted to thank God (since we know Brett's accident could have been so much worse!).

Our sincere thanks go out to Paris Fire and Rescue, Willy Buffington and everyone who helped to stabilize Brett and get him from the woods to the helicopter, the Life Flight team who got him safely to the hospital, to CMMC's emergency staff, Dr. James Timoney and the other surgeons, Dr Alan Langburd and others who helped my husband get home for my birthday just five days after surgery.

Also to Androscoggin Home Health nurses and P.T. people for their great care, to Rep. Terry Hayes for helping us get heating fuel and finally, to our family and friends who have helped us with everything from grocery shopping to doctor's appointments.

A special thanks goes to our mothers, Nada Sessions and Pauline Shaw, to Brett's siblings, Bonita, Cheryl, Warren and Brian for all their love and support, to brother Warren and sister Connie for being our "taxi" and for all the snow removal and many other chores you did.

Thank you to our friends, Marie and Jason McAlister, Bud Raymond, Les and Robin Morey, Steve and Andy Marshall and our kids, Tim Paradis and his girlfriend Samantha Blom and Alishia and Chris Liberty for all the errand running and setting up Brett's "hospital room at home."

Thanks to Marina Sessions for the hospital bed. We could not have gotten through the last 11 weeks.

God bless you all.
