Clean up after your dog!

To the Editor:

It boggles my mind that people walk their dogs on a sidewalk and let them do their duty on the lawns and then go along and don't clean it up. I would not take my kids to their house and do the same.

I live on High Street in South Paris, and the man who does this twice a day has been offered plastic bags by two residents that he refused and it's still happening. That good-sized black lab drops some big ones and now joggers and walkers are pointing them out.

Isn't not cleaning up after your pet against the law? What's wrong with a pooper scooper or the doggy-doo bags?
