Cash Mob, Newsom amazing

To The Editor:

Two days later, and I am still in awe! Of what you ask? I went to the Cash Mob on Saturday, December 1, hosted by W.J. Wheeler Insurance Agency. The mob was at the "future" home for Responsible Pet Care of Oxford County.

The generosity of the people that came for the event amazed me. Michael Newsom has got to be one of the most generous people in town. What a love!

He not only put on the event, but his enthusiasm, his kindness, his good spirit, his generosity, brought the level of donations to a height I never expected from a cash mob! $5500 was raised for the shelter.

This was truly a wonderful event to have been present at. All the people that attended will be forever recognized for their kind act, in that one of the dog kennels will be purchased and dedicated by the "cash mob of Dec 1, 2012."

Very cool, huh? Now all good and done, the monies needed to obtain this wonderful facility for the future shelter are still urgent!

The fundraising for this needed shelter for the community has been slow. The committee members have been working hard to reach people for their donations.

Please, please, I beg you! Send in any amount you can for the cats and dogs to Responsible Pet Care Building Fund, P.O. Box 82, Norway, ME 04268.
