King will serve Maine

To the Editor:

The increased partisan infighting and bickering dominating our political system has to end. Republicans and Democrats choose to serve their respective parties instead of their constituents.

Now is the time to support an Independent candidate who will serve our state with confidence and determination, and will represent Maine people, instead of a political ideology. I believe that candidate is Angus King.

As Governor, he made decisions based on facts after talking with the people who would be affected. He will do the same as U.S. Senator. His focus will be creating jobs for Maine people, by reducing regulatory burdens and supporting affordable education and technology.

Angus King understands and values the abundant resources in our state. He supports retaining control of land conservation and encouraging our Agricultural base to grow and prosper.

Get Real, Get Maine, initiated by Governor King’s Administration connects farmers with consumers and has increased Agritourism. As a small farmer I know Angus King will focus on a farm bill that is not “one size fits all,” but one that will support the diversified Maine agricultural community.

A vote for Angus King is a vote for the people of Maine.
